Working as a consultant is a very interesting job. You are being employed to solve peoples problems. That been said you need to learn how the customer works. Consultants need time to research and promote themselves. As a consultant you should only be working one week a month and the rest should be spent on the above. Companies pay you for your time that you have not been working for them. Putting this all in numbers is quite simple. All you have to do is ask yourself how much you are happy with earning annually and then divide that amount by ten. Ten weeks of work a year doesn’t sound bad hey? Trust me though if you want to be good though and not burn out it’s going to be a lot of hard work!
